The Yankees scored six times in the sixth inning, and once in the seventh and eighth to bury the Rangers and secure a series win on Thursday afternoon in the Bronx.

The New York Yankees erupted for eight runs in the later innings to overpower the Texas Rangers 9-2 on Thursday afternoon in the Bronx, securing a series win that had fans buzzing from the first pitch to the final out.

The game took a dramatic turn early when Jasson Dominguez crashed hard into the left-field fence while robbing Brandon Nimmo of extra bases in the first inning. The young star was carted off the field, visibly emotional, and is now in concussion protocol while undergoing an MRI on his shoulder—a tough blow for a team already navigating a bullpen day.

But the Yankees didn't let the setback derail them. After escaping a two-out jam, New York struck first in the bottom of the inning. Paul Goldschmidt and Cody Bellinger laced back-to-back triples to make it 1-0, marking the first time the Yankees have notched two triples in a single inning since April 2015, when Carlos Beltran and Chase Headley accomplished the feat.

With starter Ryan Weathers scratched due to illness, the Yankees turned to a bullpen game. Paul Blackburn tossed a solid inning as planned, handing the ball to Brendan Beck for his MLB debut. The 27-year-old right-hander looked poised, allowing just two runs on two hits and three walks over three innings—a promising start for a pitcher making his first big-league appearance.

After MacKenzie Gore kept the Bombers quiet following the first, the Yankees broke the game wide open with a six-run fifth inning. Trent Grisham delivered the knockout punch with a bases-clearing double, while J.C. Escarra, Aaron Judge, and Bellinger added RBI singles to push the lead to five runs. Grisham wasn't done there—he added a two-out single in the sixth for his third hit of the day, stole second, and scored on Max Schuemann's RBI double to make it 8-2.

Grisham finished with three hits, three RBIs, two runs scored, and a stolen base in a much-needed breakout performance. Ryan McMahon also contributed a solid day at the plate, helping the Yankees secure a series win that keeps their momentum rolling in the Bronx.
