Get ready to celebrate the best of North Jersey high school sports! The 2026 HSS North Jersey High School Sports Awards show is just around the corner, and the best part? It's completely free to attend. Here's everything you need to know to join the celebration.
Hosted by NorthJersey.com and The Record, this annual event honors the top athletes from Bergen and Passaic counties. Whether you're a nominated athlete, a proud parent, a coach, or an athletic director, everyone is welcome. Just make sure to RSVP using the form below to secure your spot.
Event Details:
The show kicks off at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026, at Passaic County Technical Institute in Wayne. It's an evening packed with excitement, recognition, and community spirit.
Who's Invited?
All Player of the Year nominees from more than 30 high school sports, plus The Record's "Athletes of the Week" for the 2025-26 school year, are automatically invited. Coaches, athletic directors, friends, and family are also welcome to attend and cheer on their favorites.
Cost:
Thanks to our presenting sponsor HSS, there's no ticket fee. That's right—admission is completely free. But don't forget to RSVP so we can plan for you!
What to Expect:
The night will feature the announcement of Players of the Year for 34 different sports, covering everything from football to field hockey. Eight specialty awards will also be handed out, including:
- Female Athlete of the Year
- Male Athlete of the Year
- Girls Team of the Year
- Boys Team of the Year
- Coach of the Year
- Lifetime Achievement Award
- Two Charlie McGill Scholarship Awards
All of The Record's "Athletes of the Week" from the 2025-26 school year will also be recognized on stage. For the Team of the Year awards, every team that won a sectional or county championship is a nominee—so there's plenty of competition.
