Southland's success was a complete team effort, starting with a stellar outing from pitcher Laney Weis. Weis earned the win with four shutout innings, striking out six batters while allowing just one walk.
The offensive explosion was fueled by contributions up and down the lineup. Weis also shined at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBIs.
