The Baltimore Ravens had a glaring need entering the NFL Draft, and that was finding a center for Lamar Jackson.

With Tyler Linderbaum moving on in free agency, there is a gaping hole in the middle of the offensive line, so some thought the draft would be where the Ravens might look to address it.

Yes, the franchise drafted Olaivavega Ioane, but he's a guard, not a center, so the Ravens still don't have a bona fide center.

And ESPN's Jamison Hensley detailed the Ravens' position on that.

“The Ravens made 11 picks in the draft but were unable to fill their biggest need -- center," Hensley wrote. "Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta said the two prospects he liked were surprisingly taken in the second round, and he didn't believe the other available center prospects could make an immediate impact.

"As the Hall of Fame general manager [Ozzie Newsome] once said, 'You don't play games until September,' and I think we'll have a great offensive line at that point," DeCosta said. "We have a plan."

Right now, it is Corey Bullock as the starter and Jovaughn Gwyn as the backup.

Given DeCosta's comments, I'd imagine the Ravens will be looking at free agency as one avenue to explore to get Lamar a quality center.

Yes, it might be a bit pricy, and could see the franchise part ways with draft capital, but I don't think the Ravens can go into the new season with its current center options.

DeCosta says the franchise has a plan, and exactly what that plan is could help or hinder the Ravens in 2026.
