Jon Rahm is in the driver's seat for his second LIV Golf victory of the season. The Spanish star caught fire down the stretch in Mexico City, birdieing three of his final four holes on Saturday to card a 4-under 67 and seize a one-shot lead heading into the final round.

Rahm, who won earlier this year in Hong Kong, will have a familiar face for company in the final pairing: his Legion XIII teammate, Tyrrell Hatton. Hatton fired a stellar 66 to sit just one stroke back, setting the stage for a fascinating intra-squad duel. This marks the first time the two close friends will be paired together in a LIV final round.

"I don’t see the dynamic changing a lot, but I can imagine we’re going to be speaking a little bit less than we do normally just because of the situation," Rahm said with a smile, acknowledging the competitive tension. "Down the stretch, no matter who we’re playing with, usually the conversations are very limited."

Both players have history at the iconic Chapultepec Golf Club, adding another layer of drama. Rahm nearly chased down Dustin Johnson here in a 2017 WGC event, while Hatton narrowly missed a playoff with Phil Mickelson in 2018 after a bogey on the 72nd hole.

"I guess I’ve proved in the past that I can play well around this golf course," Hatton noted. "Hopefully the bounces will be on my side tomorrow."

With Branden Grace and Tom McKibbin lurking two shots off the pace, Sunday promises a thrilling finish as Rahm looks to close the deal and add another trophy to his burgeoning LIV legacy.
