Islanders will have two free opportunities to see the silverware.

Two of English football's most iconic trophies are heading to Guernsey, offering islanders a rare chance to get up close with silverware that represents the pinnacle of the sport. The Premier League trophy and the Women's Super League trophy will be on display at Barclays on St Julian's Avenue from 10:00 BST on 29 May, with free entry for all fans.

But the excitement doesn't stop there. The following day, the trophies will take center stage at a youth six-a-side football tournament at Victoria Park, home of Guernsey FC. Running from 09:30 to 16:30, this event promises to be a celebration of grassroots football, giving young players and their families a memorable backdrop to the action on the pitch.

Rob Jones, director at Victoria Park, described the visit as a "landmark event" and expressed his thrill at hosting it. "This will be a highlight of Guernsey's sporting calendar," he said. "I can't wait to host this youth tournament while providing a unique chance for fans of all ages to grab their own small slice of football history."

This marks the first time the Premier League trophy has returned to the island since its last visit in 2015, making it a long-awaited homecoming for local football enthusiasts. Organizers are calling it a "once-in-a-lifetime experience for the local community," and with both men's and women's top-flight trophies on display, it's a fitting tribute to the growing stature of the women's game.

Whether you're a die-hard collector of football memorabilia or simply want to snap a photo with the trophies that define English football excellence, these two days are not to be missed. Head down to St Julian's Avenue on 29 May or to Victoria Park on 30 May to be part of this special moment in Guernsey's sporting story.
