NFL execs say Ravens still have a void at center after the draft, with Garrett Bradbury emerging as a potential trade option.

The Baltimore Ravens filled several key needs during the 2026 NFL Draft, but one position remains a persistent puzzle: center. Despite a strong start with first-rounder Vega Ioane and second-round edge rusher Zion Young, the Ravens watched two top center prospects slip away before their next pick. Logan Jones went to the Chicago Bears at No. 57, followed by Jake Slaughter to the Los Angeles Chargers at No. 63. When Baltimore finally returned to the board at No. 80, they opted for wide receiver Ja'Kobi Lane instead—leaving a noticeable void in the middle of their offensive line.

That decision has sparked plenty of chatter among league insiders. According to NFL executives speaking via The Athletic, the Ravens may take an open competition approach in the short term, letting multiple players vie for the starting role. "Baltimore is going to let everybody who can snap the ball try," one executive said, underscoring the uncertainty surrounding the position.

One intriguing possibility could come via trade. Garrett Bradbury, now with the Chicago Bears after a recent move from New England, has emerged as a logical target, per The Athletic. Bradbury's connection with Ravens offensive line coach Dwayne Ledford—dating back to their time together at NC State—adds an extra layer of appeal. However, any deal hinges on how the Bears evaluate their own rookie, Logan Jones. As one executive noted, Chicago may be hesitant to part with Bradbury until they're confident Jones is ready to step in as the long-term starter.

For now, the Ravens seem content to sort things out internally. But with a roster built for playoff contention, the center position remains one of the few unresolved questions heading into the 2026 season—and a story worth watching as training camp approaches.
