Here is everything you need to know about new Colts' OL Jalen Farmer.

The Indianapolis Colts made a savvy move in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL Draft, selecting Kentucky offensive lineman Jalen Farmer with the 113th overall pick. Here's what you need to know about the newest member of the Colts' offensive line.

Farmer comes to Indy as a two-year starter at right guard, where he played every single one of his college snaps. In 2025, he was a rock in pass protection, allowing just 14 pressures and three sacks over 457 pass-blocking snaps. His run blocking also earned solid marks from Pro Football Focus, showcasing a well-rounded skill set that should translate well to the NFL.

While Farmer didn't take any snaps at tackle during his college career, Colts General Manager Chris Ballard sees untapped potential. "He's a big powerful man," Ballard said. "I think he's going to be a really good addition to our O-line, not only from a talent standpoint, but also from a cultural standpoint. He fits what we look for and we also think he's got some swing tackle ability. It'd be nice to add him in the mix and watch him compete."

NFL.com draft analyst Lance Zierlein offered a detailed scouting report: "A two-year starting right guard, Farmer's run blocking is ahead of his pass protection. He isn't broad or girthy, but he features a compact point of power and good core strength. He's a plus drive blocker capable of leveraging and finishing his work but sees diminishing returns when blocking in space. Farmer will block what is in front of him in protection but frequently stalls his feet when punching, allowing active rushers to slip into his edges and find the pocket. He's capable when working duo and man-to-man blocks downhill, but his ceiling will be defined by his improvement in pass protection."

Farmer's athleticism is hard to ignore. He posted an impressive 9.83 Relative Athletic Score (RAS) out of a possible 10.00, ranking 33rd out of 1,904 offensive guards measured from 1987 to 2026. That kind of athletic profile makes him a versatile piece for the Colts' offensive line puzzle.

At a minimum, Farmer provides quality depth at both guard and tackle. But don't be surprised if he pushes for playing time against the likes of Matt Goncalves or Jalen Travis. As Ballard noted during his pre-draft press conference, "We're going to bet on size and athleticism," and Farmer delivers both. Whether he's anchoring the interior or kicking out to tackle, this pick adds serious competition to the Colts' offensive line room.
