The NBA's regular season just wrapped up with a roar from the crowds. For the third consecutive year, the league's attendance figures have soared, with teams collectively drawing over 22.18 million fans and averaging a robust 18,108 spectators per home game. Over the past three seasons, that adds up to nearly 67 million fans passing through the turnstiles, a testament to the sport's incredible live appeal.
Perhaps even more impressive is the sheer demand for tickets. NBA arenas operated at a remarkable 97% capacity this season, marking only the fourth time in league history that benchmark has been hit. The energy wasn't confined to a few markets, either. Eleven different teams managed to sell out every single home game, creating electric atmospheres night after night.
Leading the charge in fan loyalty are a few standout franchises. The Miami Heat boast the league's longest active sellout streak, having packed their house for 14 straight seasons (excluding the pandemic-impacted years). Not far behind, the Boston Celtics have sold out every game since the 2021-22 season. Even the Dallas Mavericks finished the season above 100% capacity, thanks to strong standing-room-only sales, proving that when the game is on, fans want to be there in person, soaking up every moment.
