With the NFL draft approaching, there's a chance we could see a few trades over the next few days. The draft will give multiple teams around the league, especially the Chicago Bears, an opportunity to go from contenders to potential favorites. While making small trades doesn't necessarily help that, there's still reason to believe that Chicago can be in a very good spot if it does what's needed.
Among those options would be making smaller trades, though the Bears will likely need to do more. It was recently proposed that they should go out and trade Tyson Bagent, a backup quarterback who might have decent value around the league.
“Chicago Bears: QB Tyson Bagent Bagent, the Bears' backup quarterback, was the subject of trade rumors during the NFL combine in February, during which Bears head coach Ben Johnson said he believes Bagent is a top-32 quarterback in the NFL. If another team feels the same way, the former undrafted free agent could be on the move come draft night,” Jack McKessy of USA TODAY wrote.
That isn't to say that the backup quarterback would have an opportunity to go out and start elsewhere, but it's not out of the question that the Bears could get a decent return for him. Even if it's a mid-round pick, the player they use that pick on could be a nice addition.
