MIAMI GARDENS — The Miami Dolphins selected Mississippi State tight end Seydou Traore with their final fifth-round pick in the NFL Draft.

Traore made history as the first drafted player via the NFL's International Player Pathway Program.

Traore was born in France and grew up in London but moved to Clearwater in 2020, when he played 11-on-11 football for the first time.

Traore had 10 career touchdown catches in college and averaged 6.5 yards after the catch.

The pick, 180th overall, was acquired via trade with Dallas.

Traore had 752 receiving yards and four TDs during his final two collegiate seasons.

Traore joins a tight end group that includes Greg Dulcich and third-round pick Will Kacmarek.
