Lamine Yamal has sent out a message to Barcelona fans after being ruled out for the rest of the domestic season due to injury.
The Barcelona teenager scored the winner against Celta from the penalty spot but then had to go off just before half-time.
Barcelona have now confirmed that Yamal won’t play again for the club this season, and Yamal admits it’s a tough setback to take.
“This injury leaves me off the field at the time I most wanted to be, and it hurts more than I can explain. It hurts not being able to fight with my teammates, not being able to help when the team needs me. But I believe in them and I know they’re going to drop their souls in every game,” he posted on Instagram.
“I’ll be there, even if it’s from the outside, supporting, encouraging and pushing as one more. This is not the end, this is just a break. I’ll come back stronger, more eager than ever, and next season will be better.
Barcelona have just six games left to play in La Liga and are favorites to retain their title as they remain nine points clear of nearest challengers Real Madrid.
