The 4A Super Regionals delivered a knockout punch of excitement on Friday, with powerhouse teams punching their tickets to next week's Bracket Play at Valley Complex while others fought to keep their seasons alive. Here's how the diamond drama unfolded.
Uintah 16, Snow Canyon 1
No. 3 Uintah left no doubt, steamrolling No. 19 Snow Canyon 16-1 in a decisive Game 2 sweep. The Utes' bats were on fire, with Becca Williams going 2-for-3 and launching two home runs to drive in three runs. Addysen Hall matched the energy, also going 2-for-3 with a homer and four RBIs, sealing a dominant series victory.
Ridgeline 6, Hurricane 2
No. 5 Ridgeline punched their ticket with a steady 6-2 win over No. 12 Hurricane, completing a 2-0 series sweep. Avery Lamont sparked the offense with a double and an RBI, while Jaylee Jensen added a double and two RBIs. Hurricane's Ashlyn Hirschi smashed a solo home run, but Ridgeline answered with runs in the first, fourth, fifth, and sixth innings to maintain control.
Bear River 15, Timpanogos 4
No. 2 Bear River showed why they're a top seed, overpowering No. 15 Timpanogos 15-4 in Game 2. Ali Roche was unstoppable, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and five RBIs, while Marley Tisdol crushed a home run and drove in four. Timpanogos mounted a late rally with four runs in the fifth inning, but it was too little, too late against Bear River's relentless attack.
Sky View 13, Tooele 5
No. 4 Sky View refused to go quietly, forcing a decisive Game 3 with a commanding 13-5 win over No. 13 Tooele. The Bobcats jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first, but Tooele tied it in the second. Then came the explosion: Sky View erupted for eight runs in the fifth inning, powered by Eliza Birman's five RBIs and Avaree Haramoto's two. The series now hangs in the balance.
Crimson Cliffs 7, Deseret Peak 2
No. 6 Crimson Cliffs kept their hopes alive with a 7-2 win over No. 11 Deseret Peak, setting up a winner-take-all Game 3. Maylee Dunkley was the star, going 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs. The Mustangs broke a 1-1 tie with a four-run fourth inning, and pitcher Jordyn Cluff fanned six batters to keep Deseret Peak at bay. The stage is set for an epic showdown.
