Races for district titles and playoff spots are coming down to the final week for Central Texas high school baseball teams. Here’s a roundup of action from Friday and Saturday:

Westwood 4, Vandegrift 3 (9): Juan Perez’s walkoff two-run single in the bottom of the ninth gave the Warriors a crucial win for their playoff hopes. West Morgan threw a complete game with four strikeouts and went 2-for-3 at the plate for an impressive individual game. Perez finished with three RBIs and Justice Moore and Kellen Szymanski both tallied two hits.

Vandegrift 8, Westwood 1: Carson Tan threw a complete game, scattering four hits and striking out three, Marshall Linenberger went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, Tyler Miller finished 1-for-2 with two walks, a double and an RBI and both Dax Van Stavern and Caiden Qualls drove in runs to lead the Vipers.

Hutto 6, Vista Ridge 5: Oliver Medina went 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs, Aidan Eierdam drove in two runs and Kellen Littles had an RBI double to lead the Hippos. Carson Fields threw a scoreless seventh inning to earn the save.

Vista Ridge 4, Hutto 0: Drew Wells struck out five and only allowed one hit in five shutout innings, Jake Waddell went 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs and Luke Burke finished 2-for-3 with an RBI as the Rangers moved closer to a playoff berth. Andrew Klemett tossed two innings of scoreless relief and had an RBI single and Ryan McCann had an RBI double in other notable performances for Vista Ridge.

Round Rock 19, Stony Point 4: Luke Broaddus went 3-for-3 with three doubles, five RBIs and two runs scored, Maddox DePriest doubled and drove in two runs, Jack Appl and Drew Harthcock both had two hits, and Max Min tripled, walked and drove in three runs as the Dragons swept the series.

Round Rock 15, Stony Point 5: Jack Appl went 3-for-5 with a double and three RBIs, Omar Rodriguez finished 2-for-4 with four RBIs, JP Kazmann went 3-for-4 with an RBI and Drew Harthcock, Luke Broaddus and Quinn Barthelette all had two hits as the Dragons rolled in Game 1 of the series.

McNeil 8, Manor 0: Jayden Campos went 2-for-2 with two walks, an RBI and three runs scored, Andrew Mata had a two-run double, Justin Sandusky belted an RBI triple and Tyler Schwarz struck out six in four innings to pace the Mavericks.

McNeil 12, Manor 2: Tyler Schwarz went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs, Andrew Mata finished 1-for-2 with a double, three walks and two RBIs and both Sean Crowe and Jaydon Campos tallied two hits and an RBI as the Mavericks won the first game of the series.

Lake Travis 7, Akins 0: Luke McBride struck out 12 in seven shutout innings and Nelson Molina went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs as the Cavs moved closer to the district title. Westin McDaniel and Will Fanning both threw an inning of scoreless relief, with the former striking out the side. CJ Hansford, Elliott Proppe and James Tudor all drove in runs.

Westlake 10, Del Valle 1: Owen Strain went 3-for-4 with two RBIs, Lance Hayashi finished 2-for-3 with two RBIs, Austin Knox belted a two-run double and Ripken Street had two hits as the Chaps completed the series sweep and clinched a playoff spot.

Bowie 4, Austin High 0: Louis Olmeda fanned 11 in five shutout innings and Devin Loane went 3-for-3 with two RBIs to lead the Bulldogs, who swept the series and have qualified for the playoffs. Maddux DeFilippo threw two innings of scoreless relief with three strikeouts.

East View 12, Elgin 1: Andres Uzcategui struck out six and didn’t allow a hit or earned run in four innings and went 2-for-4 with a triple, double and RBI as the Patriots moved closer to securing a playoff spot. Cameron Turner finished 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBIs and Turner Stepehens went 2-for-2 with a home run, double and four RBIs to lead the East View offense. Tommy Rice belted a two-run double and Trey Rodriguez had two hits in other notable performances for the Patriots.

Weiss 8, Pflugerville 1: Amari Maxwell went 3-for-4 with three RBIs, Jace Rodriguez drove in two runs and Rhema Benjamin struck out six and scattered three hits in five innings as the Wolves took a big win for their playoff hopes.

LASA 2, Cedar Creek 0: Alex Johnson tossed a shutout, striking out 11 and scattering six hits, Connor Willie had an RBI single and scored a run, and Joaquin Gonzalez had two hits as the Raptors completed the series sweep and clinched a playoff berth.

McCallum 1, Dripping Springs 0: Blaise Kizer belted an RBI double to score Tommy McIntyre and Max Satterwhite scattered seven hits and struck out four in six innings to lead the Knights to an impressive non-district win. Jake Gramling retired the side, striking out two, to earn the save.

Anderson 8, Westlake 5: Darek Paiz went 3-for-3 with two doubles and three RBIs and tossed an inning of scoreless relief and Connor Comeau finished 3-for-3 with a triple and solo home run as the Trojans took a notable non-district win.

Hays 3, Liberty Hill 0: Ryan Kume tossed a one-hit shutout with 12 strikeouts to lead the way as the Hawks took an impressive series sweep. Ryder Pearson’s two-run single paced the offense.

Hays 2, Liberty Hill 0: Chase Kume struck out eight and scattered four hits in 6 1/3 innings and Ryan Kume hit a solo home run as the Hawks won Game 1.

Cedar Park 6, Glenn 5: Brandon Washburn went 3-for-3 with a double and RBI, Cooper Camacho finished 3-for-4 with two runs scored and both Evan Daly and Carter Frith had two hits as the Timberwolves clinched a playoff spot.
