Each of the Indiana Fever’s 44 regular season games will be nationally televised this WNBA season, which means the team featuring Caitlin Clark, Aliyah Boston, Kelsey Mitchell and Sophie Cunningham is going to be easily accessible to women’s basketball fans across the country.
The WNBA announced its national broadcasting schedule for the 2026 regular season on Wednesday and 216 games will air live nationwide.
This season — the 30th for the WNBA — marks the first of its new media rights deal. Games will appear on ABC and ESPN platforms, CBS and Paramount+, NBC and Peacock, the USA Network, NBA TV, Amazon Prime Video and ION.
“The WNBA is coming off a landmark season in 2025, one that was defined by incredible basketball and countless memorable performances,” WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert said in a statement. “With an incredible 2026 draft and so many notable free agency signings and trades now giving way to the start of the season, the WNBA’s unprecedented lineup of linear and streaming partners will shine a light on must-see matchups, and the remarkable skills the WNBA’s stars provide each time they step on the court.”
The Fever will set a record for the most games played on national television in a single season by a WNBA team. Indiana will open its national broadcast schedule on May 9 against Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings (1 p.m. ET, ABC). That game will be followed by a WNBA Finals rematch between the Las Vegas Aces and Phoenix Mercury (3:30 p.m. ET, ABC).
This new media rights deal brings the WNBA back to NBC, which broadcast the league’s first game back in 1997. NBC will carry seven games on Sundays this season, while its streaming service Peacock will have 12 Monday games. Peacock will also stream every game of the WNBA Finals, and each game will also air on NBC or USA Network.
“The return of the WNBA to NBC Sports for the first time since 2002 is a milestone moment — not only for our platforms, but for the league and its fans,” NBC Sports President Rick Cordella said in a statement. “With the WNBA experiencing unprecedented popularity, the 2026 schedule showcases everything that defines the league today: championship‑caliber teams, emerging franchises, compelling rivalries, and the game’s biggest stars on some of the sport’s most prominent stages.”
NBC will carry the Aces’ visit to the new-look Atlanta Dream featuring Angel Reese on May 17. Women's basketball legends Sue Bird and Cheryl Miller will be studio analysts for NBC's WNBA coverage.
It’s been six years since the WNBA became the first women’s professional sports league to have its games streamed on Amazon Prime. The service will carry 31 games this year, including the Championship Game of the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup. Amazon's expanded coverage of the WNBA begins on May 14 when the Minnesota Lynx face the Wings.
CBS will air 20 games and eight of them will be in prime time. CBS tips off its coverage on May 23 when the Chicago Sky host the Lynx. Each of the CBS games can be streamed on Paramount+.
ION will carry 50 games — the most of any of the league’s broadcasting partners this season — and put the WNBA in the spotlight with its Friday night doubleheader series. On May 8, the Toronto Tempo will make their national television debut by hosting the Washington Mystics on ION.
The Portland Fire’s first national TV game is the next day, May 9, against the Chicago Sky on NBATV.
Behind the Fever, the revamped Wings — featuring No. 1 overall draft pick Azzi Fudd and first-year head coach Jose Fernandez — will play the second-most on national TV with 36 games. The New York Liberty, powered by Breanna Stewart and Sabrina Ionescu, are next with 35 games on national platforms.
The reigning WNBA champs, the Las Vegas Aces — led by four-time MVP A’ja Wilson — will play 33 games on national TV.
