The Miami Dolphins entered the 2026 NFL Draft with 11 selections, but after a few trades, they wound up picking 13 times during the draft.
Jon-Eric Sullivan was busy on each day of the draft, making multiple selections in nearly every round, including three picks in the third, and six inside the top 100.
ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. gave the Dolphins and Sullivan a "B" grade for their draft, despite Kiper walking away believing there's still one issue with the roster following the draft.
"But I didn't see enough done to the WR room," Kiper writes. "Malik Washington and Jalen Tolbert are still the WR1 and WR2 on this roster, respectively. That's an issue."
The Dolphins did select two wide receivers in this years draft. Caleb Douglas was a bit of a reach with the No. 75 pick in Round 3, while Chris Bell was a solid pick at No. 94, but he's coming off a torn ACL.
Miami, ideally, should've found a more stable presence in the WR room to be an instant upgrade over Tolbert and Washington. Instead, they took two players who are more unknown than some others in this year's WR class.

But, with the additions of offensive tackle Kadyn Proctor and cornerback Chris Johnson in Round 1, linebacker Jacob Rodriguez in Round 2, and tight end Will Kacmarek in Round 3 with those two WRs, it was a good start to the draft for Miami.
Then on Day 3, they added edge rusher Trey Moore, safeties Michael Taaffe and Kyle Louis, WR Kevin Coleman Jr., TE Seydou Traore, guard DJ Campbell, and edge Max Llewellyn.
It was a strong haul for Miami in Sullivan's first draft as the GM of the team. While the jury is out on how good these players will wind up being, it was a combination of solid value and much-needed additions for Miami in this year's draft, resulting in a B grade.
