Just three seasons into his NFL career, the Dallas Cowboys are making Brandon Aubrey the highest-paid kicker in league history.
The Cowboys agreed to a four-year, $28 million extension with Aubrey on April 20, per multiple reports.
Aubrey – a restricted free agent – had originally been tagged with a second-round tender worth just under $5.8 million ahead of 2026 NFL free agency.

Aubrey initially joined the Cowboys before the 2023 NFL season after a successful, two-year stint with the USFL's Birmingham Stallions. He has become arguably the NFL's best kicker, making 88.2% of his field goals across his career to date.
Aubrey – former Notre Dame soccer player and first-round MLS draft pick – is known for having a big leg. He has made a whopping 35 of 44 kicks (79.5%) from 50-plus yards and holds the NFL record for the most makes from 60-plus yards in league history (6). That includes a 65-yarder from a 2024 game against the Baltimore Ravens, which is tied as the fourth-longest in NFL history.
