The team finished 29-39-14 this season, an 11-point improvement but still a distant 31st in the league—a familiar spot after three straight years at the bottom of the NHL standings. The message from the young core is clear: moral victories are no longer enough.

"We’ve got to start winning," Bedard stated after the season finale. "It’s been a while... it’s on us to go out there, have good summers, come back and make that leap."
