Carson Hocevar is on the hottest streak in NASCAR, and Texas Motor Speedway just became his latest playground. After a chaotic race filled with two red flags and an overtime restart, Hocevar drove his No. 77 Spire Motorsports truck to victory lane on Friday night, marking his second win in a week following his first Cup Series triumph at Talladega.

The 21-year-old rising star made the winning move on the final restart, passing Gio Ruggiero to take the lead and never looking back. It was a banner night for Spire Motorsports, with veteran Kyle Busch finishing second to give the organization a commanding 1-2 finish. "It's unbelievable," Hocevar said after climbing from his truck. "This means a lot. I can't leave but we got to go burn down a Chili's somewhere. What a fun race."

Hocevar's post-race celebration has already become a must-watch tradition. True to form, he lit up the Texas night with a smoky burnout that would make any fan's heart race—a fitting tribute to his "burn it down" mentality that's winning over fans across the sport.

The race wasn't without its drama. Ben Rhodes controlled the early stages, leading laps before fading. Meanwhile, Kyle Busch—the winningest driver in Truck Series history—found himself in trouble after brushing the wall while running in the top ten. The contact forced an unscheduled pit stop that dropped him a lap down, setting up an impressive comeback drive that ultimately landed him second.

Kaden Honeycutt rounded out the podium in third, followed by Brandon Jones in fourth and Ben Rhodes in fifth. Layne Riggs, Daniel Hemric, Christian Eckes, Ty Majeski, and Chandler Smith completed the top ten. The finish has major championship implications, as Honeycutt now leaves Texas with the points lead—14 clear of Chandler Smith and 19 ahead of Riggs.

The first caution of the night came when Cory Roper spun exiting Turn 2 in his first start in two years. During the ensuing yellow, several trucks pitted, including Corey LaJoie, who dealt with a right-front issue on his Ram. The chaos continued when Brenden Queen was hit with a pass-through penalty for jumping the restart.

For Hocevar, this Texas win is more than just another trophy. It's a statement that the young driver is ready to compete at the highest level, whether in a truck or a Cup car. As he put it with a grin: "The cocky answer would be what's in the seat, for sure. But we were really good on restarts. These guys do a really good job."

With momentum like this, Hocevar might need to find a new restaurant chain to celebrate with soon. For now, Texas is his, and the rest of the Truck Series field is on notice.
