In a promising update for Chelsea fans, interim manager Callum McFarlane has provided the latest on Levi Colwill's return from a lengthy injury layoff. The talented center back has been sidelined for an extended period, but there's finally some light at the end of the tunnel.

Colwill took a significant step forward last week by returning to full group training at Cobham. While this has naturally sparked excitement among supporters eager to see him back in action, McFarlane is urging patience. "When someone has had an injury that long, you have to be patient, not rush, take it day-by-day," he explained. "Things can change day-by-day, his feeling can change day-by-day so we just take it step-by-step and when he feels ready to play then he will play."

The defender has already logged some minutes with the U21s to build up his match fitness, but don't expect to see him in the squad just yet. McFarlane emphasized the importance of managing his workload carefully: "We just need to manage his minutes in those moments to not push him too much because we don't want to risk re-injuring him. But he looks brilliant, looks in a really good place. We are really hopeful we can see him before the end of the season."

For Chelsea, Colwill's return couldn't come at a better time. With the season winding down and the team looking to solidify their defensive options, having a player of his caliber back in the mix adds depth and quality. Whether he'll feature from the bench or eventually reclaim a starting spot, his comeback is a welcome development for the Blues.
