The Yankees fell to the Angels by a score of 11-4 on Thursday afternoon, and while the two teams ended up splitting the four-game series, Mike Trout did something that no visiting player has done in the Bronx.

Even in a split series, Mike Trout managed to make history in the Bronx. The New York Yankees fell 11-4 to the Los Angeles Angels on Thursday, but the bigger story was Trout's unprecedented power surge, etching his name into the record books at Yankee Stadium.

In the seventh inning, Trout launched a solo shot off reliever Angel Chivilli. That blast cemented a historic feat: he became the first visiting player ever to homer on four consecutive days against the Yankees. It was a staggering display from the three-time MVP, who looked every bit his vintage self, finishing the series with five homers and nine RBI.

"It means a lot," Trout told reporters postgame. "Obviously, there’s been a lot of great players who have played here. It’s awesome."

Yankees manager Aaron Boone could only tip his cap to the future Hall of Famer. "He’s not chasing, and he’s deadly in some certain parts of the zone," Boone said. "Look, he’s clearly healthy and he’s an all-time great... Hurt us this series."

The sentiment was echoed in the clubhouse. "It’s great to see a guy like him… Obviously not against us, but he’s one of the greatest in this spot and he’s showing it," added infielder Jose Caballero.

While Trout stole the show, the series also featured a thrilling power duel with Yankees captain Aaron Judge, who answered with four homers of his own. The first game set the tone, with both superstars launching two home runs each in a showcase of elite talent.

"Yeah, it was really fun," Trout said of the head-to-head battle. "That first game set it off… It was a fun series."

Giancarlo Stanton, who also homered Thursday, summed up the Yankees' respectful frustration: "It was a cool, cool showing from him and Judgey all series. Obviously, we don’t want that against us, but you’ve got to acknowledge the great." In the end, Trout's historic performance was the decisive factor, a reminder of his legendary status when he's fully healthy and locked in.
