Wyndham Clark's second round at the PGA Championship took a terrifying turn when a wayward shot struck a spectator's camera just 10 yards away, narrowly missing a crowd of onlookers. The incident occurred on Friday at Aronimink Golf Club outside Philadelphia, during Clark's approach on the 11th hole.
Video footage posted to TikTok by user @abbiebrackin1 captures the frightening moment. Clark, the 2023 U.S. Open champion, was hitting from a patchy lie with roughly 50 people surrounding him and his caddie. Spectators stood alarmingly close—about 5 yards to his right and even closer on his left. As Clark made contact, the ball veered sharply left and slammed directly into a fan's camera lens.
The impact sent a ripple of shock through the crowd. A young girl to the camera holder's right instantly crouched down, while a nearby man recoiled. Remarkably, no one appeared injured. The ball ricocheted off the camera and continued leftward, leaving the gallery visibly shaken.
Clark, who missed the cut and won't play the weekend, has not yet commented publicly on the incident. For golf fans, it's a stark reminder of how quickly a round can turn dangerous—and why staying alert on the course is always part of the game.
