At 31 years old, Williams is now a cornerstone of WWE's future, but his path to wrestling glory was anything but conventional. After a college football career that saw him transfer from Hampton University to the SEC powerhouse South Carolina Gamecocks, Belton's NFL dreams came crashing down. His stats at South Carolina—11 catches, 121 yards, and zero touchdowns—reflected a tough transition, and he went undrafted in 2017. But instead of a football call-back, he got an unexpected invitation from another McMahon venture: WWE. "Maybe I got mixed up in the system," Williams recalls. "Up to that point, I had never thought about being a WWE superstar."
