When it comes to the 2027 team recruiting rankings, Rivals has the Wisconsin Badgers in their top 25.
The latest 2027 Rivals300 sees Luke Fickell's squad at No. 21, a rather respectable ranking for a team that has struggled mightily these past two seasons.
Even with a combined 9-15 record in 2024 and 2025, Fickell has taken quite a 180 when it comes to recruiting. Seemingly all of the top in-state recruits are coming to Wisconsin, and that's exactly why the Badgers are ranked as high as they are.

Currently, Fickell has eight commitments. Of those, Wisconsin has a trio of four-star recruits, while the rest are respectable three-stars who are among, if not the best, players in the state.
Rivals has given Wisconsin's class of 2027 an 89.032 ranking, which places them at No. 21. When specifically focusing on the Big Ten, the Badgers only have six conference foes ahead of them. Either way, having seven Big Ten teams in the top 21 alone shows just how competitive this conference is.
For reference, Texas A&M is ranked No. 1 with a score of 95.367. That's a six-point differential between the Badgers and Aggies, but No. 13 Penn State sits at 89.752, which shows just how close these teams truly are.
