Wisconsin basketball added in-state guard Josh Manchester to its class of 2026 on Wednesday.

Manchester is a native of Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, and played for Mount Horeb High School. According to 247Sports, his only D-I offers came from Northern Illinois and UW-Green Bay.

The newest Badger recently set his school's all-time scoring record, finishing his high school career with 2,534 points. His 2025-26 season also concluded with a WBCA Division 2 All-State selection and the State Journal/WiscNews Player of the Year award.

Manchester joins a Wisconsin program that saw significant roster turnover this offseason. Starters John Blackwell and Aleksas Bieliauskas entered the transfer portal, while Nick Boyd and Andrew Rohde both exhausted their eligibility. While Wisconsin has already welcomed in three transfers to fill the gaps left by those players, opportunities for playing time will exist both next season and beyond.
