Houston Rockets forward Kevin Durant has thus far only played in one game during the opening round of the postseason against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Durant, who missed Game 1 but returned to Game 2 to score 23 points in 41 minutes of action, then missed Game 3 and Game 4 in Houston. As the series returns to Los Angeles with the Lakers leading 3-1, the Rockets are playing in a do-or-die game with their season on the line.

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Durant is once again expected to miss a crucial postseason appearance due to a left ankle sprain and a bone bruise.

Even when he has played, however, Durant has not had much success in the playoffs recently.

He has lost seven consecutive postseason games and has not won in the playoffs since May 7, 2023.
