Fernando Mendoza is known for a lot of things already: He's a Heisman Trophy winner, a national champion with Indiana, and by all accounts and mock drafts, the quarterback who will be taken first overall by the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday night at the 2026 NFL Draft.
But there's another thing he's known for: The guy is a BIG LinkedIn poster. He's used his page to declare he's #OpentoWork, that he's declaring for the draft, to announce various sponsorships and so much more.
Which brings us to a pressing question I had before the festivities Thursday night. Will he continue to post on LinkedIn with his new job? My guess is: Without a doubt. He cannot be listed any longer as a "student athlete" and "open to work." Dude is about to lock up a new job and career.
Indiana’s Fernando Mendoza has officially declared for the NFL Draft. He has also updated his @LinkedIn “Open To Work” look for a professional athlete job, where he is “actively applying” pic.twitter.com/5Oj7ROVgj8
It would be so on brand for him to post after the draft is over. Hopefully he will!
