Kyle Busch delivered a masterclass performance at Dover Motor Speedway, taking the checkered flag in the ECOSAVE 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race on May 15. The veteran driver swept both stages and showcased his trademark grit, overcoming a mid-race challenge from Ross Chastain to reclaim the lead with 59 laps remaining and never looking back.
Busch's victory wasn't without drama. After dominating the early laps, he briefly lost the top spot to Chastain during the final 100-lap stretch. But a decisive pass put Busch back in command, and he held off Ty Majeski in a tense battle to the finish. The win adds another chapter to Busch's storied career, proving that even in the Truck Series, his competitive fire burns bright.
Rounding out the top five were Layne Riggs, Kaden Honeycutt, and Christopher Bell, who drove a strong race in the No. 62 Halmar Friesen Racing Toyota. Bell's performance highlighted the depth of talent in the field, while Christian Eckes, Stewart Friesen, and William Sawalich also cracked the top 10, finishing sixth through eighth respectively. Grant Enfinger and Kris Wright completed the top 10, each showing consistency on the tricky concrete surface.
The race also marked a historic moment as Dystany Spurlock became the first Black woman to compete in a NASCAR national series event. Unfortunately, her debut was cut short by a crash on Lap 40, resulting in a 36th-place finish. Meanwhile, former Cup Series star Clint Bowyer made a surprise return to the Truck Series for the first time since 2024, but his day ended early with a 29th-place finish after battling a tire rub before retiring with 16 laps to go.
Ross Chastain's rollercoaster afternoon saw him fall outside the top 10 after an unscheduled pit stop, ultimately finishing 18th. Full results also featured notable runs from Tyler Ankrum (12th), Toni Breidinger (13th), and Andres Perez de Lara (14th), as the series continues to showcase rising talent alongside established names.
