The Nominees:
Hannah – A powerhouse from Titusville High, Hannah led his team to two state title appearances in the mid-1970s. He played college ball at Florida and South Alabama before being drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the fourth round of the 1982 NBA Draft (70th overall). While he never played in the NBA, he took his talents overseas, competing professionally in Sweden, France, and the Netherlands.
Jones – Though originally from Cocoa, Florida, Jones moved to southern Georgia as a freshman and played high school basketball in Camilla. He went on to a solid NBA career from 1999 to 2007, drafted 27th overall out of the University of Georgia by the Atlanta Hawks. He was immediately traded to the Philadelphia 76ers, where he spent two seasons, and later played for the Cavaliers, Celtics, Lakers, Bobcats, and Suns.
Perdue – A towering 7-foot-1 center, Perdue collected four NBA championships—three with the Chicago Bulls (1991–1993) and one with the San Antonio Spurs (1999). He was selected 11th overall by the Bulls in the 1988 NBA Draft and retired after the 2001 season. His dominance in the paint made him a key contributor to some of the greatest teams in NBA history.
Seemer – A star at Cocoa High, Seemer was named to the Florida "All-Star State First Team" in 1966. He served as team captain and set the stage for future generations of Space Coast basketball talent.
