The Wisconsin Badgers football program added a talented three-star linebacker late Wednesday night.

Big news out of Madison late Wednesday night as the Wisconsin Badgers football program landed a significant commitment from three-star linebacker Keaton Wollan, flipping him from Iowa State. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound Wisconsin native from Amery made the announcement official, posting "Staying Home!" on social media.

This marks a major win for head coach Luke Fickell and his staff, who continue to prioritize in-state talent. With Wollan's addition, Wisconsin now has nine in-state recruits in its 2027 class—the most since 2011. That's a testament to the program's renewed focus on locking down local stars early.

Wollan is the 13th overall commitment for the Badgers in this cycle, and the class currently ranks No. 15 nationally according to 247Sports. While Wisconsin had been hovering closer to the top 10 earlier in the recruiting season, maintaining a top-15 spot in mid-May is impressive and speaks to the momentum Fickell has built.

Rated as the No. 70 linebacker nationally, Wollan is also the No. 8-ranked recruit in Wisconsin's 2027 class. His flip from the Cyclones—whom he committed to just three weeks prior in April—shows how quickly things can change on the recruiting trail. For Badgers fans, it's another sign that the program is on the rise and keeping the best talent at home.
