The Carolina Panthers came out of Round 1 of the 2026 NFL Draft with the most athletic offensive tackle in this class. Georgia's Monroe Freeling offers excellent depth at tackle for now, as well as a clear successor to either Ikem Ekwonu at left tackle or Taylor Moton at right tackle.
Now, our attention turns to the real meat of the draft—which always comes on Day 2.
Here's when the Panthers are going to be on the clock later tonight . . .
Freeling was somewhere between a luxury pick and a think-about-the-future pick. But tonight, the Panthers should be thinking about addressing their most immediate, pressing roster needs.
The two positions that jump out most are wide receiver and safety. Carolina could also be looking to make picks at inside linebacker, tight end and center. More depth for their defensive line wouldn't be a bad idea, either.
