Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen have been bitter rivals on and off the field for years now.

If the players are not battling on the pitch, the executives have been warring in the board rooms or through the media as tensions have heightened between the clubs.

In the DFB-Pokal semifinals, it was all about football — and Bayern Munich scored a 2-0 victory over Bayer Leverkusen behind goals from Harry Kane and Luis Díaz.

Afterward, Bayer Leverkusen coach Kasper Hjulmand was asked if he would be rooting for Bayern Munich in the Champions League, now that Bayer Leverkusen is all done facing the Bavarians for this season.

“Yes, of course. Regardless of our situation, we always want German teams to do well and get coefficient points. I wish Bayern all the best in the Champions League,” Hjulmand said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).

That is a nice sentiment, but it remains to be seen if his bosses or his player will be doing the same.
