Round 1 is roughly expected to last three hours, unlike in past years, when the first round’s conclusion often pushed midnight. The NFL shortened the time between picks from 10 minutes to eight in Round 1. Prior to 2008, the NFL allowed 15 minutes between picks in the opening round.
The NFL Draft is being held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It’s the second time the NFL Draft has been held in Pittsburgh and the first time since 1948, when it was held at the Fort Pitt Hotel. The 2026 NFL Draft theater is attached to Acrisure Stadium, home of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
