When Michigan football and Ohio State meet in the final game of the 2026 regular season it will be at a classic time on a familiar channel.

Mark your calendars, college football fans: The 2026 edition of "The Game" between Michigan and Ohio State is officially set for a classic noon kickoff on Fox. The two storied rivals will face off on Saturday, Nov. 28, at Ohio Stadium in Columbus, continuing a tradition that has become as reliable as autumn leaves.

This marks the 20th consecutive season the matchup has kicked off at noon on the final weekend of the regular season—a streak dating back to 2006, when the iconic No. 1 vs. No. 2 showdown was played at 3:30 p.m. Since then, noon on Fox has become the unofficial anthem of this rivalry.

The Buckeyes enter with momentum, having dismantled Michigan 27-9 in Ann Arbor last season—the first time since 2007 that either team was held out of the end zone. But the Wolverines have owned this decade, winning four straight from 2021-24, including three that punched their ticket to the Big Ten championship game.

Michigan has also found magic in Columbus, winning their last two trips to Ohio Stadium. In 2022, Donovan Edwards exploded for 215 yards, and in 2024, the Wolverines stunned the Buckeyes 13-10 as three-touchdown underdogs behind a suffocating defensive performance. Their last loss in Columbus came in 2018, when Ohio State hung 62 points on Jim Harbaugh's squad during a seven-game winning streak in the rivalry.

This year’s game will be the first taste of the rivalry for new Michigan head coach Kyle Whittingham, but he’ll have plenty of insider knowledge on staff. The Wolverines boast Kerry Coombs, a former Ohio State special teams coordinator, and Tony Alford, who coached the Buckeyes’ running backs from 2015-23 before crossing enemy lines in 2024.

Whether you’re repping maize and blue or scarlet and gray, this is the kind of rivalry that demands your full attention—and the perfect excuse to gear up in your team’s best. The countdown to Nov. 28 is officially on.
