For the third straight game, the Penguins are fighting for their lives.

After jumping out to a 3-0 lead in the best of 7 series, the Flyers have seen their three-game lead evaporate to just one heading into Game 6.

The Flyers played better in Game 5 than they did in Game 4, and tonight have a chance to close out the Penguins on home ice. If not, they will go back to Pittsburgh for the deciding game.

If this goes back to Pittsburgh, the Flyers are in trouble. They can't do that. They need to win tonight. Prediction: Flyers 4-2 to win the series by the same score.

It's hard to believe after their long rivarlry, but only once have the two Pennsylvania teams played to a Game 7. It happened in 1989, when ther Flyers defeated the Penguins 4-1 in Pittsburgh. The Flyers played the game without the services of star goalie Ron Hextall, who was injured. Ken Wregget made 39 saves.

Mario Lemieux scored Pittsburgh lone goal. The Flyers got goals from Brian Propp, Dave Poulin, Mike Bullard and Scott Mellanby.
