Bayern Munich's Champions League dreams came crashing down in a night of missed opportunities, as goalkeeper Manuel Neuer delivered a brutally honest assessment of his team's performance against Paris Saint-Germain. The Bundesliga giants were eliminated after a 1-0 defeat in the second leg, with PSG advancing to face Arsenal in the final on May 30.

Despite dominating possession with 62% and firing off 18 shots, Bayern simply couldn't find the cutting edge when it mattered most. Ousmane Dembélé's early strike in the third minute put PSG ahead 6-4 on aggregate, and while Harry Kane pulled one back deep into stoppage time, it was too little, too late.

"They were killers," Neuer admitted to DAZN, reflecting on PSG's clinical edge. "We had the opportunities, but we didn't create any truly clear-cut chances. We lacked that key moment: we weren't killers in attack." The veteran goalkeeper's words echoed the frustration of a team that controlled the game but couldn't convert dominance into goals.

Midfielder Konrad Laimer shared Neuer's sentiment, adding: "We had enough chances, but we lacked the final punch. We were sloppy and not as precise as we can be." It's a familiar story for Bayern, who have often struggled to break down stubborn defenses in big European nights.

With the Champions League trophy now out of reach, Bayern must quickly regroup. Their focus shifts to the DFB Pokal final against VfB Stuttgart on May 23, where they'll have a chance to salvage their season with domestic silverware. For a club of Bayern's stature, every trophy matters—and this one will be a test of their resilience after such a painful European exit.
