Coventry City chairman Doug King believes the club's fanbase will be an important asset as they return to the Premier League for the first time in 25 years.

Coventry City chairman Doug King is rallying the Sky Blues faithful as the club prepares for a monumental return to the Premier League after a 25-year absence. Speaking after an unforgettable celebration with over 50,000 fans at War Memorial Park, King emphasized that the team's passionate support will be crucial in the challenges ahead.

"I think we are going to need that sense of togetherness as we head into our next adventure," King told BBC Radio CWR. "It's a fight against some of the premier teams in the whole world, who are going to be competing against us at the CBS Arena next year. But I'm excited for the challenge."

The chairman's comments came after an open-top bus parade that brought the city together in a sea of sky blue. The event featured performances from The Enemy and Tom Grennan, culminating in a stirring rendition of the kick-off anthem "We'll Live and Die in These Towns." For King, stepping onto the stage to witness the outpouring of joy was a career-defining moment.

"I was stunned—it was my favorite moment, close to the best in my life, just to see what it meant to everybody," King recalled. "Young, old—everybody just having a party and feeling good."

As Coventry prepares to face some of the world's elite clubs at the CBS Arena, King believes the hard work is already paying off. "We've done an amazing thing to get to this moment, and that was the hardest part. Getting out of this Championship, bringing the city and the stadium together—we've done that."

For fans looking to show their support in style this season, the Sky Blues' return to the top flight promises to be a journey filled with passion, pride, and the unmistakable roar of a united fanbase.
