The Washington Huskies are making a strong push for one of the fastest-rising pass rushers on the West Coast, locking in an official visit with three-star defensive lineman Josh Christensen. Standing at an impressive 6-foot-6 and 250 pounds, the Lake Oswego, Oregon native has seen his recruitment skyrocket in recent weeks.

Currently ranked as the nation's No. 108 edge rusher and the No. 5 player in Oregon by 247Sports, Christensen now holds 19 scholarship offers after powerhouse programs like Oklahoma and Nebraska joined the chase in early May. With his stock on the rise, he's mapped out a busy schedule of official visits that reads like a Big Ten and Pac-12 tour.

After an early trip to Illinois in mid-April, Christensen will head to Washington on May 29, followed by stops at Utah (June 5), Oregon (June 12), and Northwestern (June 19). The Huskies appear to be in a prime position thanks to strong relationships with defensive line coach Jason Kaufusi and outside linebackers coach Aaron Van Horn.

"Coach Kaufusi and coach Van Horn, I love the way they coach their guys and their energy," Christensen told Dawgman.com. "They said I fit really well in the scheme and that I can help them win a national championship."

Washington has already hosted Christensen for multiple unofficial visits, including Junior Day in March, a spring practice in April, and the Dawgs After Dark spring game in May. His combination of size, versatility, and relentless motor has coaches projecting him as a potential full-time defensive tackle at the college level—a valuable asset for defensive coordinator Ryan Walters' interior line.

The Huskies are building serious momentum along the defensive front, with four-star tackle Jon Ioane and three-star lineman Matamatagi Uiagalelei already committed. The coaching staff is also set to host four-star tackle Tevita Nonu, along with three-star edge rushers Troy Mailo and Jag Ioane for official visits, signaling a deep recruiting class in the making.
