The Washington Huskies are making serious waves on the recruiting trail, and their latest target could be a major building block for the future. Head coach Jedd Fisch and offensive line coach Michael Switzer are set to host a significant visitor this weekend: three-star offensive lineman Tristan Dare, a former Michigan commit.

Dare, a 6-foot-3, 290-pound force from Texas powerhouse Southlake Carroll, decommitted from the Wolverines in late March and is now exploring his options. Ranked among the top interior linemen in the 2027 class, he holds a whopping 34 offers, with heavy interest from programs like Florida, Penn State, and Ole Miss.

For the Huskies, this visit represents a crucial opportunity. On film, Dare showcases the play strength and proficiency in zone blocking that perfectly fits Fisch's offensive scheme. While he's a powerful run blocker, his leverage and technique project him as a potential center at the collegiate level—a key position of need as Washington seeks its first O-line pledge for the 2027 cycle.

The competition is fierce, however. Dare recently checked out Missouri, and Washington is also pushing for another top center target, Reis Russell, who has official visits lined up to Georgia, USC, and Miami. A strong unofficial visit in Seattle this weekend could be the first step in convincing Dare to return for an official visit this summer, potentially giving the Huskies a decisive edge in this high-stakes recruitment.
