The Washington Huskies are making a big push for one of the fastest-rising and hardest-hitting safeties in California.

Get ready, Huskies fans—Washington is making a serious move for one of California's most explosive defensive backs in the 2027 class. Four-star safety Jaden Walk-Green has shot up the recruiting board after catching the eye of safeties coach Taylor Mays, and the buzz around this hard-hitting prospect is only getting louder.

Standing 5-foot-11 and weighing 180 pounds, Walk-Green hails from Corona Centennial High School in Southern California. Since receiving his offer from Washington, his stock has soared nationally. He now holds 22 offers and is ranked as the No. 346 overall prospect and No. 34 safety in the 2027 class by the 247Sports Composite. Not bad for a player whose highlight reel is filled with bone-jarring hits and ball-hawking plays.

Walk-Green has already locked in an official visit to Montlake for June 5, joining trips to Oregon (May 29), Arizona State (June 12), and UCLA (June 19). While the Huskies are also pursuing other top Golden State safeties like four-stars Gavin Williams, Isala Aisa Wily-Ava, and Malakai Taufoou, Walk-Green has quickly become a top priority for Washington's secondary rebuild.

His junior season stats are nothing short of eye-popping: 125 tackles, 10 interceptions, and a forced fumble. That kind of production, combined with high-end speed and versatility, has drawn comparisons to UW safety and 2025 Freshman All-American Rylon Dillard-Allen. Walk-Green excels in both man and zone coverage, and he can line up anywhere in the secondary—from outside cornerback to nickel to safety. But what truly sets him apart is his elite physicality, a trait that Mays values above all else, having played the same brand of aggressive football during his own standout career at USC.

With Washington currently holding just one secondary commit—three-star cornerback Maurice Williams—the coaching staff led by Jedd Fisch is expected to move quickly to secure Walk-Green's commitment as his stock continues to rise. If you're looking for a future playmaker who brings the boom to every snap, this is a name to watch closely.
