Danny Sprinkle and the Washington Huskies added a third guard through the transfer portal to help round out their backcourt on Monday morning when former San Francisco standout Ryan Beasley announced his commitment.

After taking an official visit to Seattle over the weekend, the All-West Coast Conference Second Team honoree didn't waste any time announcing his pledge to the Huskies, giving Sprinkle a critical boost as both a scorer and a distributor.

During his junior season with the Dons, he averaged 13.6 points and 4 assists per game over 31 starts in what was a decorated career at the mid-major program. The 5-foot-11, 180-pounder was also named the WCC Freshman of the Year following the 2023-24 season, and in his final year of eligibility, should bring a desperately needed veteran presence to Washington's roster.

Beasley's assist numbers would have been the second-highest mark on the Huskies last season, only behind Zoom Diallo's 4.5 per game. However, with the star sophomore on his way to Kentucky and freshman JJ Mandaquit headed to Arizona in the portal, Sprinkle has had to completely rebuild his backcourt through the portal around junior Wesley Yates.

While he doesn't bring the three-point shooting that the Huskies have been emphasizing, after connecting on 32.7 percent of his attempts last season, he's still expected to fill a critical role as a shot creator since he should wind up with the ball in his hands somewhat often.

Beasley joins Davidson guard Parker Friedrichsen and Gonzaga guard Steele Venters in Washington's portal class as Sprinkle continues to scour the country for several more additions to both the front and backcourt.
