Warren Madrigal subbed on in the 63rd minute and scored twice — his first multi-goal game in MLS — Saturday night for Nashville SC in a 2-2 with D.C. United. Silvan Hefti was shown a second yellow card in the 75th minute and D.C. United played a man down the rest of the way. Nashville (7-1-3) leads the Eastern Conference with 24 points and is unbeaten, with three wins, in its last five.

Warren Madrigal delivered a stunning performance off the bench, scoring twice in the second half to help Nashville SC claw back for a 2-2 draw against D.C. United on Saturday night. The 21-year-old forward, in his first MLS season, entered the match in the 63rd minute and immediately made an impact, notching his first multi-goal game in the league.

D.C. United looked in control early, with Louis Munteanu scoring for the third consecutive match to open the scoring in the 25th minute. The Romanian striker, who has now found the net four times in just three career starts, showed why he's quickly becoming a key player for the visitors. Lucas Bartlett then doubled the lead in the 33rd minute with his first goal since 2024, putting Nashville in a 2-0 hole.

But the momentum shifted dramatically in the second half. With Nashville trailing, Madrigal replaced Alex Muyl and sparked the comeback. In the 76th minute, after Matthew Corcoran's shot was parried by goalkeeper Sean Johnson, Madrigal pounced on the rebound and slotted home from close range to cut the deficit to 2-1.

The drama intensified when D.C. United's Silvan Hefti received a second yellow card in the 75th minute, leaving his team to play a man down for the remainder of the match. Nashville capitalized on the advantage, and in the 89th minute, Madrigal produced a moment of brilliance. He chested down a cross from Andy Nájar and, before the ball hit the ground, fired a shot inside the near post to complete the comeback and secure a point for his side.

With the result, Nashville SC (7-1-3) remains atop the Eastern Conference with 24 points, extending their unbeaten run to five matches with three wins. For a team that's proving to be a force in MLS, Madrigal's emergence as a clutch substitute adds another weapon to their already potent attack.
