Haddon Heights' Jordyn D'Amelio was the top vote getter last week, garnering 42.0 percent of the 17.7 K votes recorded. Northern Burlington's Allie Papol and Vineland's Averie Gomez rounded out the top three vote getters.
Gemma DeJoseph, Delran. The sophomore hitting machine put together another productive week, batting .600 with six runs scored and five RBIs for the Bears. She has nine multi-hit games and collected 29 knocks in 47 at-bats for a .617 batting average. DeJoseph has scored 21 times and driven in 24 runs. She boasts 76 hits in 44 career games.
Lacie Tarpy, Medford Tech. Helping the Jaguars move into a first-place tie in the XXXX Division, the senior delivered a single, double and two RBIs in a 3-2 win over Palmyra on April 20. Tarpy went 5-for-9 (.555) with six runs scored and five RBIs for the week as Medford Tech went 3-0 and raised their season win total to eight. Tarpy boasts a .429 batting average this spring.
Gracelyn Vasil, Northern Burlington. The freshman strung together three consecutive two-hit games and drove in six runs as the Greyhounds raced to wins over Cinnaminson, Westampton Tech and Delran. Vasil is batting .588 for the season with 20 hits.
Avangelina Bates, Sterling. The sophomore went 9-for-13 (.692) with six runs scored and three stolen bases as the Silver Knights split four games during the week. In a 9-2 upset win over West Deptford on April 21, Bates had three knocks, two RBIs and swiped three bags. She’s batting .500 (24-for-48) for the season and is three knocks shy of her entire hit total from last spring.
Brianna Hoover, Collingswood. The junior closed out the week with a .545 batting clip (6-for-11) with five runs scored and four RBIs. After accounting for the Panther’s lone hit in a loss against top-ranked Gloucester on April 22, she had delivered her second four-knock game of the season in a victory over Pennsauken two days later and a career-high three RBIs in a win against Camden Catholic on April 25. Hoover is hitting .324 this spring.
Vayda Pino, Gloucester. After homering twice and driving in six runs against Collingswood on April 22, the senior delivered two hits and three more RBIs in a win over Audubon in a battle of defending sectional champs. Pino produced 10 RBIs for the week, raising her season total to 16. She’s also batting .438 on the season.
Milestone: Gloucester’s Emma Dick notched her 200th career strikeout on April 24 during a two-hitter against Audubon. Dick fanned 11 in the game, raising her career total to 207.
Gloucester’s Megan Mason earned her 200th coaching win as the Lions defeated Gloucester County Tech, 6-5, on April 25..
Maddie Edwards, Cherokee. The senior sparkplug batted .500 for the week with seven hits, including a pair of doubles and a triple. Edwards is batting .450 with 18 hits and five walks this spring.
Sarah Harrison, Cherry Hill East. The junior right-hander spun a seven-inning no-hitter with 17 strikeouts as the Cougars blanked crosstown rival Cherry Hill West on April 25. Harrison also collected a 4-2 win against Cherokee, tossing all eight innings. At the plate, she batted .600 (6-for-10) with a pair of RBIs and runs scored in three games.
Rosie Richardson, Bishop Eustace. Sparking the Crusaders’ first three-game winning streak in six years, the sophomore went 9-for-12 (.750) with four doubles, eight runs scored and eight RBIs during the stretch. She’s batting .545 with a team-best 18 knocks and 10 runs scored this spring playing for first-year head coach Doug Richardson, her father.
Riley Cohen, Gloucester County Tech. The freshman hit for the cycle in a 12-10 win over Moorestown on April 23. She finished the week 10-for-15 with seven runs scored and five RBIs in the five-game span. Cohen leads GCIT with a .600 batting average and 21 hits, including three homers.
Tori Jester, Delsea. As the Crusaders’ bats heated up last week, the senior provided plenty to the attack as she had four multi-hit performances and batted .588 (10-for-17) over the four-game stretch. Jester recorded her third six-RBI game of her career and had her first four-knock game of the spring in a 16-1 rout of Triton on April 21. She’s batting .548 with 23 hits, raising her career total to 92.
Karsen Taylor, Kingsway. The senior piled up the knocks, collecting 11 in four games, including three three-hit performances. She went 11-for-15 (.733) with eight runs scored and five stolen bases. Taylor is batting .500 with 25 hits, 18 runs scored and 12 stolen bases – all team-high totals.
Milestone: Delsea sophomore Cailyn Centeno recorded her 200th career during Saturday’s game against Paul VI.
Ashley Hammonds, St. Joseph Academy. The freshman slugged three homers in two games as the Wildcats advanced to Sunday’s South Jersey Classic championship game.
Raegan Notch, Lower Cape May. The sophomore continued her torrid spring by hitting .700 (7-for-10) with two doubles, a triple and two homers in four games last week. Notch posted 11 RBIs, raising her season total to 21. She’s hitting .615 with 16 knocks, 10 walks and 15 stolen bases.
