This week's lineup features an impressive array of talent from South Sound high schools, with players delivering clutch goals, hat tricks, and game-changing plays. From seniors making their final mark to underclassmen rising to the occasion, these athletes have earned their spot on the ballot.
Here are the nominees:
Evan Brobak, Kentwood – The senior went out with a bang in his final high school match, netting the game-tying goal in a 1-1 draw against Kentlake.
Johnny Chino Lopez, Kent-Meridian – This senior midfielder was a force in the 3A district tournament, scoring both goals in a thrilling 2-1 victory over North Thurston.
Abraham Cooper, Stadium – The junior striker showcased his playmaking skills, tallying one goal and two assists in Tuesday's dominant 9-1 win over Auburn.
Miles Ford, Steilacoom – A sophomore forward to watch, Ford exploded for four goals in Saturday's 5-1 rout of Olympic.
Jack Luxenberg, Stadium – The senior midfielder found the back of the net twice in Tuesday's 9-1 triumph over Auburn, helping his team maintain momentum.
Callum Lyons, Bellarmine Prep – Lyons was the hero in a dramatic shootout win over Capital on Saturday, scoring both regulation goals and converting his penalty kick in the decisive shootout.
Jason Walker-Kennedy, Curtis – This sophomore forward made his presence felt with two goals in Tuesday's 8-0 shutout of Yelm.
Israel Wambiru, Curtis – The senior forward stole the show with a hat trick (three goals) and an assist in the same 8-0 victory over Yelm, proving why he's a key player for the Vikings.
