The winner of last week’s Softball Player of the Week poll was Old Colony’s Abby Norton. She had more than 8,000 votes (63%) to receive the honor.
In a win over Bourne, Norton went 2-for-3 with a triple, 2 runs scored and an RBI.
The winner of the Preseason Softball Player of the Year poll was Old Colony’s Madison Canton with more than 10,000 votes (50%). Fairhaven’s Brianna Pierce was second followed by Wareham’s Jolee Anderson.

In three combined games, Fiano had a combined 1 hit, 6 walks, RBI and 2 runs scored.
In a win over Bourne, Gussis pitched 3 innings, allowing 3 runs (2 earned) on 3 hits and 2 walks with 6 strikeouts. She also went 2-for-2 with a double, walk and run scored.
In a pair of games against Bourne and Dartmouth, Suneson went a combined 4-for-6 with a walk, 2 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
In a pair of wins over Bourne and Dartmouth, Taylor pitched a combined 9 scoreless innings, allowing a combined 2 hits and 2 walks with 19 strikeouts. She also pitched 7 innings against GNB Voc-Tech, allowing 2 runs (1 earned) on 6 hits and 1 walk with 13 strikeouts. She also went a combined 3-for-6 at the plate with 2 runs scored and 2 RBIs against Bourne and Dartmouth.
Chasse pitched her first career shutout against Arlington Catholic. She also pitched a complete game, allowing 3 runs on 5 hits against St. Mary’s.
Peckham went 2-for-3 with 2 RBIs against St. Mary’s and had a sacrifice fly against Arlington Catholic.
Caffrey hit her second home run of the season in a win over Durfee.
In two games, Lancaster went a combined 5-for-9 with 5 RBIs.
In a win over Old Rochester, Rapoza went 4-for-4 with a home run and 2 RBIs.
Silva went 4-for-4 with 3 RBIs against Old Rochester.
Thomas went a combined 3-for-9 with 5 RBIs in two games and was the winning pitcher against Durfee.

Pierce threw a five-inning, no-hitter with 1 walk and 12 strikeouts in a win over Durfee. She also had 2 hits and 1 RBI. Against D-R, she had 8 strikeouts and 10 strikeouts against West Bridgewater.
