Hughes combined with teammate Jack Hehir on a no-hitter as the visiting Mountaineers defeated Doherty, 4-0. Hughes then went the distance and allowed one run on five hits while striking out five in Wachusett’s 7-1 win over Catholic Memorial.
Laverdiere hurled a three-hitter and went 2 for 4 with two RBIs and two runs as the Bernardians blanked Fitchburg, 6-0.
Law struck out eight in five innings and belted a grand slam as the Gators garnered a 12-7 victory over South in a consolation game of the Nipmuc Spring Series.
Nivar was 3 for 5 with a homer and three RBIs and Marcus Lopez was 2 for 4 with a homer and two RBIs as the visiting Colonels topped Nipmuc, 11-3.
Loynd allowed five hits and struck out six in a complete-game shutout for the Tigers and 9-0 win over Tahanto. Molloy mustered 10 strikeouts and pitched a complete game in a 16-2 win over West Boylston.
Mongeon mustered 11 strikeouts and surrendered two hits in six innings and went 3 for 4 with an RBI and four runs as the Colonials collected a 7-0 win over Clinton in a John Ahearn Tournament semifinal.
Monville struck out 10 and threw a no-hitter as the Blue Raiders blanked Northbridge, 10-0.
Ortiz pitched a complete game and had two hits and a run as the Eagles downed Leicester, 12-2. He then went 2 for 3 with a homer and two RBIs in his team’s 8-3 victory over Burncoat.
Paulino hit a homer and collected 3 RBIs as the Rams recorded a 15-8 victory over North Andover. He then struck out 12 batters and tossed a no-hitter in a 14-0 win over Westfield.
This senior was 3 for 3 with an RBI and three runs to propel the visiting Beavers to a 5-2 win over AMSA.
Pitro produced two RBIs in a 4-1 win over Blackstone Millville before the junior went 4 for 4 with an RBI and four runs in the Lions’ rout of Narragansett, 14-1. Pitro then hit a two-run double in his team’s loss to Maynard.
Rogers recorded 13 strikeouts and allowed one unearned run on one hit over five innings to help the Titans secure their first win of the season, a 4-1 victory over Milford. Rogers also singled twice and drove in a run.
