Last week's winner was Dock Mennonite freshman Bella Taylor, who captured 30 percent of the vote. Taylor has been a force in the circle for the Pioneers all season long. She delivered a masterpiece against Renaissance Academy, tossing a complete-game shutout while allowing just one hit and striking out 13 batters. Not to be outdone, she also shined in relief against Calvary Christian, pitching two perfect innings and driving in two runs at the plate. For the season, Taylor boasts a 3.73 ERA with 74 strikeouts in 50 innings, helping the Pioneers secure the No. 1 seed in the District One Class 1A playoffs.
