The winner of last week’s Baseball Player of the Week poll was Dartmouth’s Sebastian Diaz. He had more than 4000 votes (61%) to receive the honor.
Diaz went 1-for-2 with 2 RBIs in a loss to New Bedford.
The winner of the Preseason Baseball Player of the Year poll was Dartmouth’s Logan Stott with more than 1,000 votes (38%). Old Colony’s Cam Vallee was second followed by GNB Voc-Tech’s Ashton DeMedeiros.

Beauregard allowed 1 run on 2 hits and 4 walks with 5 strikeouts in 5 innings against Dartmouth. In three games, he had a combined 4 hits and 3 RBIs.
Bogdan led Apponequet in a win over Dartmouth with 2 hits, including a home run, and 4 RBIs. Bogdan also had 3 hits in a win over GNB Voc-Tech and picked up the save against Dartmouth.
Kanakis pitched 5 scoreless innings in a win over Bourne, allowing 5 hits, 1 walk and 1 hit batsman with 7 strikeouts.
In a win over GNB Voc-Tech, Levesque went 6 innings, allowing 3 hits and 2 walks with 8 strikeouts.
Cartagena went a combined 5-for-8 with 2 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
Guenette went a combined 4-for-7 with 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored in two games.
In a pair of games against Arlington Catholic and St. Mary’s, Lord went a combined 5-for-8 with 4 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
In three games, Winslow went a combined 6-for-12 with 4 RBIs and 2 runs scored.

Afonso got the win on the mound against Durfee, pitching 4 ⅔ scoreless innings, allowing 2 hits and 1 walk with 7 strikeouts. He also went 2-for-5 at the plate and drove in the game-winning run with a 2-out, 2-strike single in the bottom of the eighth inning. He also went 1-for-2 with an RBI and run scored against GNB Voc-Tech.
In a win over GNB Voc-Tech, Gioiosa allowed no runs on 1 hit and 2 walks with 6 strikeouts over 5 innings.
In three games, Stott had a combined 5 hits, 2 RBIs and a run scored.
Blanchard picked up the win over Somerset Berkley, allowing 1 earned run on 4 hits and 1 walk with 7 strikeouts in 4 innings.
