The Virginia Wesleyan Marlins have done it again—capturing their 17th ODAC championship in dominant fashion. On Saturday afternoon at Broyles Field, the team crushed Bridgewater College 12-2 in just five innings during game two of the ODAC Championship series, sealing a perfect postseason run.
This victory wasn't just another trophy; it completed an undefeated conference tournament for the Marlins, who now boast a staggering 45-0 overall record. In ODAC play, they finished a flawless 20-0—a testament to their relentless consistency all season long.
In the circle, senior Emma Adams was unstoppable. Pitching all five innings, she allowed just two runs on five hits while striking out three batters. The win improved her personal record to an incredible 21-0, making her the backbone of this championship squad.
At the plate, the Marlins' offense was explosive. Alison Pollack went 2-for-3 with two home runs and four RBIs, while Morgan Tucker matched her intensity with a 3-for-3 performance, including a home run and four RBIs. Taylor McQueen also contributed, adding two hits—including a double—and scoring a run.
