Marie-Louise Eta made history when she took the helm at Union Berlin, and now she's celebrating her first Bundesliga point in style. The head coach had plenty to smile about after her team pulled off a stunning comeback, erasing a 2-0 deficit to earn a 2-2 draw against relegation rivals Köln at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei. The result not only snapped a three-game losing streak but also gave die Eisernen a much-needed boost in their fight for survival.

After falling short in her first two matches in charge, Eta showed her tactical acumen by making five changes to the lineup that lost to Leipzig. Defensive leader Leopold Querfeld and captain Christopher Trimmel were among those dropped, along with supporting attackers Andras Schäfer and Janik Haberer, and striker Andrej Ilic. The decision to replace Querfeld with Stanley Nsoki raised some eyebrows, especially with rookie goalkeeper Carl Klaus making his Bundesliga debut due to the season-ending injury of No. 1 Frederik Rønnow.

Early on, Eta's new approach didn't click, but she proved she's a quick learner on the sidelines. In the 67th minute, she swapped Nsoki for attacker Tim Skarke and shifted from a 3-3-2-2 to a more aggressive 4-4-2 formation. But the real masterstroke came nine minutes earlier, when she introduced 21-year-old German-Turkish prospect Livan Burcu. The young attacker had been waiting for his moment, and he seized it with both hands.

Union pulled one back in the 73rd minute through a well-executed set piece, setting the stage for Burcu's long-awaited breakthrough. In the 89th minute, the youngster delivered a stunning individual effort to score his first Bundesliga goal and level the match. Trimmel, who came off the bench, also chipped in with an assist on Tom Rothe's earlier goal.

"The lads played their hearts out and left it all on the pitch," Eta said after the match. "They gave it their all, and when we scored the equalizer, the stadium came alive again. That released a lot of energy. The belief was there the whole time."

On Burcu's breakout performance, Eta added: "I'm happy for him. He's worked incredibly hard, and to see him score such an important goal in front of our fans is special. This is just the beginning for him."
